We are looking for a motivated and talented quantum foundry & industrialization intern to join our team for a 6-month internship starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the industrialization of quantum computing hardware by performing the data analysis and optimization of the nanofabrication and 3D assembly process.

As part of our industrialization team, you will collaborate closely with other teams within the Quantum Hardware and Infrastructure department as well as other departments such as Design&Implementation. Your insights will directly impact the development of our quantum devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Industrialization Team responsible for the analysis and interpretation of nanofabrication process data to support device performance evaluation and process optimization.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (nanofab, CHCS, D&I) to ensure the accuracy of generated data.
  • Perform literature reviews and maintain up-to-date bibliographic records of the latest research and innovations relevant to the project.
  • Contribute to the implementation of automation solutions, such as a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Implement data analysis routines and prepare weekly reports on findings and progress.
  • Coordinate and support foundry service collaborations by overseeing process compatibility, fabrication follow-up, and performance validation of superconducting devices fabricated by external industrial partners, including data analysis, benchmarking, and feedback for iterative process optimization.

    • Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in engineering (final year) or a master’s program (2nd year) in General Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in data analysis, nanofabrication and characterization.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and software such as JMP and Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.
  • Knowledge of industrialization processes, lean manufacturing, and process optimization techniques is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and processes is an asset.
