We are seeking a highly skilled, technical and dynamic Public Sector & Government Affairs Lead to expand our engagements within the US government and governmental institutions. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the intersection between quantum computing technologies and public funding. This role requires a candidate who can identify opportunities where quantum technologies can solve critical challenges, design and advocate for tailored solutions, and lead large-scale engagements from conception to delivery. The successful candidate will have a unique combination of technical expertise, public sector experience, and strategic leadership capabilities.
As the Public Sector & Government Affairs Lead, you’ll be driving the strategy and day to day operations of the US public funding funnel. You’ll be interacting with A&B key partners including National laboratories, Fortune 500 and academic institutions to collaborate on innovative projects funded by the US government. You will be reporting to the US General Manager.
You will be responsible for:
Identifying and pursuing relevant funding opportunities across civilian and defense sectorsPreparing and submitting comprehensive application packages including technical proposal, administrative documentation, and compliance requirementsOverseeing project execution, ensuring milestones are met, deliverables are achieved, and regular progress reports are submitted to the funding agencyBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with program managers at civilian and defense U.S. agencies to align on objectives and prioritiesConducting proactive research and intelligence gathering to stay informed about upcoming funding opportunities and agency prioritiesRepresenting A&B at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote organizational expertise and foster strategic partnerships.Requirements:
5+ years of relevant experience in the public sector in a similar role Previous experience in quantum computing is a strong plus Strong scientific background in either Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Sciences Strong technical acumen, and proven ability to work across cross-functional teamsAbility to identify, establish, and leverage key relationships Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.
