Localization Project Manager - Apprenticeship

About

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗮

Lucca develops SaaS solutions to increase employee efficiency and engagement.

We address key administrative and HR management areas: time and activities, annual reviews, employee pulse surveys, expense reports, and more.

While we work in the serious field of management tools, we believe software doesn't have to be gray, ugly, or boring. That's why we prioritize interface design and user experience.

In 2022, Lucca celebrated its 20th anniversary and began its internationalization journey by opening its first two subsidiaries outside France, in 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗮 and 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗮. This continued in 2024 with the opening of our 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵 office!

2022 was also when we began professionalizing our localization approach (first hire, TMS implementation, etc.). Since then, we've continued to grow the team to strengthen our internationalization efforts.

Our software interfaces are currently available in more than 𝟳 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese), and our Sales and Customer Success teams support clients in 4 of them.

As more clients operate across multiple countries, we want to deliver the best user experience. This means improving the 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 of translations for both software and documentation.

What will you be doing?

To continuously improve language availability and quality, we are looking for a apprenticeship in Barcelona to join our Localization expertise within the Internationalization team.

On a daily basis, you will work closely with Mehdi, Natalia, Ludivine, Frédéric, Emilie and Clara, who joined Lucca to help us better support our new markets by localizing our products and services and continuously improving the user experience.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Supporting the production workflow

  • Managing translation requests from internal teams
  • Coordinating requests between localization vendors, subject-matter experts, and internal stakeholders
  • Preparing files and sending relevant instructions to vendors
  • Handling questions at every stage of the localization process
  • Ensuring quality assurance before delivery and sharing feedback with vendors

Improving our linguistic assets and processes

  • Contributing to the maintenance of our tools and assets, such as glossaries, translation memories, and TMS platforms, as well as terminology consistency
  • Helping improve our language guidelines
  • Contributing to the gradual improvement of our localization systems by analyzing key issues and sharing ideas and suggestions with the team
  • Identifying opportunities to fine-tune the production workflow through minor and targeted adjustments

Soft skills

  • You are a go-getter with a self-starter attitude and a passion for problem-solving and learning.
  • You have a strong attention to detail and are result- and quality-oriented.
