Your Team
As a key player of the Legal Department, you will play a cross-functional and strategic role in ensuring that the Business & Marketing teams operate within a secure and compliant legal framework.
You will act as a true business partner, advising and supporting Sales and Marketing teams on constantly-evolving business models and offerings, and serving at their dedicated point of contact.
You will be the go-to expert Business & Marketing in the Legal Department and will collaborate with other legal team members on related topics.
Your mission will include helping to create engaging and seamless user experiences for our customers while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
You will work under the supervision of the General Counsel, with a high degree of autonomy, and in close collaboration with the rest of the Legal team
Your Missions
Your main missions will be the following:
- Create compelling risk-managed user experiences and play a strategic role in ensuring that our contracts template, business models, offers, communication and marketing campaigns comply with applicable regulations;
- Promote trust among prospects, clients and users by ensuring that the processing of their personal data is fully compliant with relevant data protection and that individual rights are respected;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a legal strategy aimed at reducing the risk of disputes and litigations while supporting our commitment to our customer service excellence;
- Design and implement a contract performance strategy, by leveraging innovative approaches such as Legal Design and translating complex legal concepts into clear, business-oriented language;
- Create and update Terms and Conditions templates for Yousign's services, websites and technologies applicable in France, Germany and Italy;
- Manage all matters related to Yousign's contractual activities and support the execution of sustainable agreements;
- Analyse, negotiate, draft and review suppliers and partners' contracts;
- Monitor laws, regulations and case law in the technology, digital and Saas sectors that are applicable in France, Germany and Italy (with assistance of local law firms) and prepare legal memos and notes accordingly.
- Develop and share practical resources, deliver training sessions on contract negotiation, contract lifecycle management and best practices.
- Draft guidelines, policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and strengthen the legal framework.
- Handle disputes involving clients, users, website visitors, prospects and partners.
Who are you ?
Interested in applying ? Here are the key skills that will help you thrive as Yousigns’ next Senior Legal Counsel - Business & Marketing (F/M/X) :
- You have around 6 years of experience, including significant time as an in-house Legal counsel, with a strong focus on Business & Marketing matters;
- You hold a Master's degree in French Law (License + M1 + M2) with a specialization in IP/IT or Business & International affairs - an LLM abroad is a plus;
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French & English;
- You’re a team player and enjoy brainstorming and solving problems collaboratively.
- You are assertive and know how to stand your ground while maintaining a constructive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ideally, you have experience working in a Tech/SaaS company;
- Experience in a highly regulated industry is a strong advantage.
- Previous collaboration with German/Italian business teams is also a plus.
